PAYCLE Inc. is pleased to announce that its proprietary invention regarding a digital content delivery method utilizing NFTs was officially registered as a patent in South Korea on December 1, 2025 (Patent Number: 10-2895353).

In addition to our home base of Japan, this core technology of ours has already been patented in Malaysia and Singapore. With this recent registration in South Korea, we have successfully acquired patents in four major Asian countries. This achievement further solidifies the international credibility and technological superiority of our intellectual property.

Challenges of Conventional NFT Rentals

In recent years, the distribution of digital assets and the provision of usage rights using NFTs have drawn significant attention. However, existing systems have faced the following issues, which have acted as barriers to widespread adoption:

  • The lender must temporarily transfer the ownership of the NFT to the other party, carrying the risk of losing the asset.
  • Due to the technical characteristics of NFTs, the number of users who can utilize the content is always limited to one (simultaneous connections are not possible).


These constraints have been a major source of concern for both content providers and users when utilizing such services.

A New Solution Separating Ownership and Usage Rights

Our patented technology, which has now been granted rights in South Korea, is an innovative mechanism that makes it possible to securely retain the "ownership" of the NFT while flexibly granting only the "usage rights" of the content to users. The introduction of this technology enables the deployment of the following types of services:

  • Secure licensing of content that requires simultaneous access by multiple users, such as video, music, and e-books.
  • The construction of provision models offering limited periods and conditions for usage rights regarding digital educational materials and items within metaverse spaces.
  • The realization of a mechanism that allows content holders to continuously monetize their assets while maintaining the value and security of the target NFTs.

By resolving the issues of "asset loss risk" and "user limit restrictions" inherent in conventional NFT rentals, this technology provides a secure form of content distribution perfectly suited for the Web3 era.
